How Long Does It Take For Job Givers To Contact Writers Who Responded To Their Adverts?

Actually, the above headline was a question I received recently from a writer who just got to know the big opportunity for writers to work as freelancer for webmasters online.

He had read my new book: 3 Guaranteed Streams Of Income From Writing Articles Online, and visited the writing job sites which I recommended. He found one which he liked and put up his response.

Obviously, he was expecting a favourable response the next day which he hadn’t got before he fired me a mail to ask the question: “How long does it take for website owners to contact writers who showed interest on their jobs?

I really do understand with this writer. Sometimes when you visit writing job sites you would find exceptionally appealing available jobs, such as those with mouth-watering pay rate like $25 – $50 per 500 – 850 word article, coupled with the prospect of the job contract lasting long. Tell me who wouldn’t be anxious to be contacted quickly to begin work on such job?

Now back to the question of how long it takes job givers to contact writers to begin work on their project, my answer is this:

If you did not get a response in 3 – 5 days, it is either the job giver has already picked and contacted the writers to do their job or they are not yet prepared to go ahead with the job. Of the two possibilities it is the former that is usually the case.

This is because a lot of writing job vacancies are usually needed to be filled immediately – webmasters normally require articles fast to prosecute their websites’ marketing plans.

But this does not mean you have to feel depressed over not been contacted to do the job. Not at all, you have to get back to the job sites and respond to as many writing job positions as you can find and do it as quickly as the adverts are posted.

Apply or bid on as many jobs as possible. In fact, one of the keys of success as a freelance writer is never to get tired or despondent when you didn’t hit jobs quickly. The next writing job opening may just be it!
