thank you very much for this information, it really came in handy. I’ve been looking for good online writing jobs but i’ve never gotten anyone that is willing to pay in any other form but paypal. But now that you’ve mentioned that some actually do pay via moneygram( emphasis on the mode of payment), can you give me some of these websites, please.

There are those who will be prepared to pay you by whatever means that is convenient to you, such as MoneyGram, Western Union or direct bank transfer.

Also, you can let your prospective client know you cannot receive payment by PayPal, but would prefer other means. You need to let them know this because many, if not all job givers, assume PayPal is popular the world over, and is free to sign up for, and so anyone should have an account with them.

Ask for a written contract from the publisher. Actually, any genuine publisher will give a contract, stating their terms, which the author can either accept or decline. You can also check on the authors the publishers have handled before and find out from them if they are satisfied with the publisher.
